A short time ago we had some articles showing the advantages that would ac crue to New Berne business people in the way of getting quicker communicnlion with northern and western correspon dents if the schedule ofthe W. i. & N. trains which carried mail were so arranged that connection would lie made in the evming with the trains leaving Wilming ton. By a reversal of the times ol running the trains, that is to let the regu lar passenger train exchange place with the mixid passenger mid freight train and kt the former take the mail, a schedule could be arranged that would accomplish this o'lject, for the passenger train can make lietter time than the freight. We are pleased to learn that the offi cials ofthe road are taking this change iii o consideration and we hope that th-y will work out a plan that wi'l be mutual ly advantageous, to themselves and the pu blie.
