Mr. lirock made a very good display
of his tine work in oil paintings,
pastelle. crayon, water colors, pen
and ink.
The pressed flowers showed by
Mrs. Roberts were worthy of men
tion, a dozen 'collections, each one
-mowing the flowers that grow dur
ing the year in New Heme.
Tucker Hros. of Raleigh gave a
nice exhibit in furniture and aresses.
In the curio department was a
piece of a dress worn bv a ladv to
reception given in honor of Ceorge
Washington in New Berne, also a '
chair one hundred years old and
many other things of interest.
The string baud seemed to keep
things lively up on the second storv

young people danced whenever the

The poultry seemed to attract at -
tention. lliere was many funny

The knitting mill was kept busy

attractive display of his medicine in
the same huiiding.
Souvenirs were sold on the
grounds for ten cents each. Every
visitor seemed eager to take one
home with them to remember the
grand time they had while in New
Heine.
A bicycle was given away to a
holder of a season ticket. A email
bov was blindfolded and drew from
a box of numbers. Number .5(5 won
it and a Kinstonian happily took it
olT with him declaring he was glad

The culinary department was
prettier this year than ever before
and many a small child wished for
some of those nice cakes.
