I here are outstanding war-, rants of the penitentiary for some 4,000 the books of the treasury show an over draft of 900 in the penitentiary account and there are other Irregularities. In all it Is now believed that the defalcation will amount to f 12.000. His bond is for i only $5,000, and the rest of the loss will j fall on Mr. W. H. Worth, the late Popu I list State treasurer. The investigating ! committee will not get to work on the ! treasury books before Wednesday.
