The board aldermen met Tuesday night, in regular session. On motion. reading minutes last meeting were dis pensed with. 'Alderman McCarthy for finance committee reported bid of Hy man Supply Co. for boiler at $1,325, and belt at $4.34 per foot and recom mended acceptance. Carried. Petition of residents aBked that East Front St., above Union be pave:!. Referred. D. E. Henderson representing the meat dealers, asked relief from ordinance recently passed. This caused discus sion, first ordinance was suspended un til action of committee ', could amend same. Finally on motion V Alderman Shriner, the office of . meat inspector was abolished by a vote of 5 to 4.' " Alderman Shriner made motion that city' transfers be allowed to charge fares not to exceed 15 cents, instead of 10 cents.
