Sturges Pearce in the New port News.) Oh all ye warring nations, ye kings and potentate., Have ye never read the story of the storm on Galilee, How its fury turned the placid lake nto a raging sea? And the clouds like armies marching Svept across a troubled sky 4ud the shrieking, piercing blasts of wind Wre like the battle cry! The hearts of men were sinking, Failing as with fear. For they knew unless the tempest eased The gates of death were near. b all ye warring nations, ye kings and potentates. ')o ye not seo the import, how true it is to lifol The storm that raged on Galilee And the elemental strife Are like the waves of passion And storms within the breast, When the evil in man's nature Destroys his peace and rest. Oh all ye warring nations, ye kings and potentates, There is now a Voice commanding this fearful war to cease; 'Twould turn the troubled nations Into perfect calm and peace. 'Tis the Voice that spake on Galilee Te can hear it if ye will 'Tis ho Voice that calmed the tern pest, Commanding "Peace, bo still."
