In the game at Spencer Mountain Fri day between 8ieneer Mountain and Tuckaseege the home team won with the score 11-7. The teams were closely matched but the visitors were neverthe less defeated. A typographical error in Monday's Is sue of The Gazette caused quite an amus ing incident to transpire aboard the aft ernoon r. n . train, a ialy passenger requested a copy from the news agent and glancing at the date returned it say ing, "I want Monday's Gazette, not Sat urday's." and the atrmt hurriedly ran I his eye through the stock on hand, find ing that all he had were dated Saturday, July 3. A representative of the paper desiring to straighten matters out, and without looking at the date of Monday's paper, he had finished reading, handed over his copy, only to have the lady dis cover that also bore the Saturday date and she was about to compromise on a Charlotte News, when the typographical error was discovered and all were con vinced we had been reading real Monday news from The Gazette with a Saturday date line.
