Gibbons enter tained Sunday at a dinenr party given in honor of Mrs. Gibbons' mother, Mrs. Kli Hinders, who celebrated her Hl'ml birthday aniuversary. The dining room was attractively decorated with ferns and American Heniity roses. The center decoration for the table was a handsome birthday cake set with Si' pink candles, the gift of Mrs. K. A. An inleres ing event in musical circles was the open program rendered last night by the Music Club, this being their regular April meeting. The meeting was held in the hall at the rear of the Armory and each club member invited a guest. The hall was arranged studio fashion with shaded flour lamp and tall ivory floor vases filled with bright spring flow ers. The club members were in Spanish costume ami grouped themselves in a semi circle around the piano for the stage setting.- The club president, Mr. Pros' Torrence. presided over the meeting and Mrs. H. H. Moore led the round table of current musical events. An exceptionally fine program of Spanish music was ren dered. all of those taking part being club members with tie- exception of Mr. D. H. Williams I Mis, Rita Izard. Mr. Wit- j liams spent last year in South America and his numlier on the program wa a popular song in Spanish. At the conclu-1 sinn of the program the guests were seat ed at the charmingly appointed banquet tab'es and an elaborate salad cours with coffee was served by the ladies of the Virst Baptist church.
