Wrlgley Building
The main building is 16 stories high,
surmounted by a tower feet square
and rising 398 feet from the street
level. This tower will contain a clock
with dials on four sides, each 20 feet in
diameter and will be surmounted by a
bearchlight lantern 9 feet in diameter.
The building is covered with enamel
finish terra cotta on all four sides. It
is regarded as one of the most beauti
ful buildings in Chicago and people and
press are enthusiastic about it. The
Chicago Tribune published a picture
labeling it a "A Jewel of the Link."
Wrigley also recently completed new
factories at Chicago and New York.
All this new construction wprk in
the space of a few years is certainly a
tribute to the power ot advertising and
the accumulative effect cf a multitude
vi 5-cent tales.

In The
Year 1930
Your school boy will have formed
habits either of thrift or laxity in
money matters. He will be a man,
and his attitude toward saving
will be largely what you have
made it.
Precept is not enough; it should
be supported by example.
Listen! A wealthy customer re
cently said of his savings account:
"This is the best moral support I
give myself and children. I got
my start by saving, and am not
going to quit, because I have
made money."
This strong old bank welcomes
savings accounts, large or small.

The publishers of America want you to work for

The atmosphere surrounding the work nowadays is
as agreeable as that of a counting room, and the asso

old upward.
A school for the purpose of training youin thirteen

Letters and telegrams are received daily, from all

This is the Way to Make
Every Buy a Bargain
UY advertised goods. Only GOOD goods, fairly
priced, can stand the spotlight of publicity.
A merchant or manufacturer would not dare to ad
vertise merchandise that is poor in quality, poor in make
or that will not give reasonable wear. The penalty of
such tactics is too heavy. .No goods - and no busfness
concern - can thrive under the weight of public condem
nation. A merchant places the whole reputation of his busi
ness at stake everytime he advertises. Naturally enough
he is careful of what he says and when his statement is
placed in the newspapers - where everyone in town may
read - so that any untruth in it will be known to all of
his employees and most qf his friends - then you may be
sure he is doubly careful.
When you buy advertised goods you get a bargain
because THEY MUST BE AS ADVERTISED.
So it pays you to read advertisements. Advertising
protects you.
Read the advertisements in this paper and get the
best of the bargain.
