N. 0. team and the Eich mond College boys at West End Park, in Richmond, on Monday, May 7, resulted in an easy victory for Carolina. The K C. boys went into the game witli their characteristic over confidence, and played with no snap whatever in the early part of the game. In fact, they played such poor ball that they were shut out by the Virginians until the fifth inning. Ellyson pitched a good game ; the bovs did not dig in to him till the sixth inning. The game was called at 4.40 p. m., with Richmond College at the bat. Phillips hits line ball to Stanley, and on error gets first. Duke, AV., makes base-hit over third, tries to go to second and is thrown out by Graham. Phillips scores. Ellyson hits grounder to Stephens and is thrown out at first. N. Our base-ball team played two games. with the Lafayette College boys in Greensboro on the 7th and 8th inst. The fi rst game was won by Lafayette by a score of 2 to 1.
