GREENSBORO - - - - N. O
Thanks to the sleet donated to
us by the ground-hoof during- last
week, the devotees of the bob
sled enjoyed life exceedingly. Some
few enthusiasts were so reckless as
to attempt sliding on their ears and
noses but the results of their ex
periments did not encourage the
onlookers to follow suit, Friday
the athletic field was covered suffi
ciently heavily with sleet to afford
a grip for skates and many begin
ners resorted thither to take a few
lessons where there could be no
danger of a ducking. The cold was
not severe enough to produce safe
ice upon the neighboring ponds.
