TRADE' WITH . Pickard and Strowd's "University Club Cigar" is made especially for the University students. An Appeal. The old pump is gone. One of our most valued treasures has been taken from us. To.many of us it was our first acquaintance; to all of us it was an old friend, and when the loss was first made known aery ot indignation ana sorrow went up from the whole college. Indeed we had become so accustomed to the sight of the old landmark, that at irst glance we could not appreciate he full extent of the disaster. We el t as the people around Niagara Falls must have felt, when some years ago the great fall had frozen tnd the accustomed roar and noise 1 t 1 i 111 t 1 was luisneu ascounueu, oewnuerea thunder-struck. In place of our antique, picturesque old relic we now have a rough, unpainted pine ox, while above it hangs a new, bright, shiny, showy bucket. What a change! Shall we. as stu dents, permit this? What matters it if our arms and backs did some- imes grow stiff and our tempers become excited in attempting to pump a dipper of water? Let us rise as one man and say: "Give us mck our pump!"
