The New Constitution. (Continued from page 1.) vote by roll call; and if ten members vote in favor of said motion, the roll shall be called. ... Sec. 2. Elections. The . election for the Manager and Sub-Managers of the Football Team shall be held on the first Saturday in December The election for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasur er of the Association, Manager and Sub-Managers of the Basebal Team, Manager of the Track Team, and all other officers of the Association shall be held on the firs , Saturday in May. But these officers with the exception of the Managers and Sub-Managers of the differen teams shall not take their seats un t;l the following year. Sec. 6. The President of the Association shall advertise the elec tion of officers at- least forty-eight hours before hand, and in the man ner prescribed for .advertising other meetings. Sec. 7. The management of the Association's business shall be in trusted to the-following offiicers and committees: A President,. Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Mauager and at least two Sub Managers of the Football Team, Manager and at least two Sub-Man agers of the Baseball Team. Man ager of the Track Team; Commit tee on Finance, Committee on Rec ommendations, Committee on Rules and Relations, Committee for the Awarding of Sweaters, and such special committees as may be ap pointed, by the President of the Association, for the transaction of particular business. Article V Duties oe Officers and Committees. Sec. 1. President, (a) No per son shall be eligible for President of the Association until he shall have lived at. this University for a period of three years, (b) The Pres ident shall call and preside over all meetings of the Association; shall decide all questions of order; shall vote in case of a tie, but not other wise; and shall appoint all commit tees vvhose appointment is not oth erwise provided for. Sec. 2. Vice President, (a) No member shall be eligible for the office of Vice-President who is not eligible for the office of President, (b) The Vice-President shall per form all the duties of the President in the absence or incapacity, of the President. Sec. 3. Secretary, (a) The Secre tary shall be chosen from the Senior Class, (b) It shall be his duty to keep a record of all the proceedings J of the Association. He shall keep also a roll of members and shall have it together with the minute book at all meetings duly called. He shall also obtain from the Treas urer, and keep as a record, the names of all numbers who have been disfranchised for the non-payment of dues. Sec. ." Treasurer., (a) The Treas urer shall be chosen from the Senior Class, (b) fie shall have charge of the general treasury of the Athlet ic Association. , He shall cover all moneys into the treasury; and, on the written order of the chairman of the Finance Committee, acting for the Committee, shall disburse to collect all fees due to the Associ ation, and to keep a record of the same. He shall have authority to expend such sums as may be neces sary for the purchase of stationery for the Association, (d) He shall receive fifty dollars for his services, (e) The Treasurer, before entering upon his duties, shall give a bond, the amount of which shall be fixed by the Finance Committee, and the bond must also be approved by this Committee. The Association shall pa y all fees necessary for the pro curement of the Treasurer's bond. Sec. 5. Managers of Teams (a) No person shall be eligible to the office of Manager of the Foot ball Team or Baseball Team who has not served at least one term as Sub-Manager, (b) It shall be the duty of eachManager to prepare a schedule of games for his team; to make suitable provisions for the comfort of his team while on its trips; to arrange for the accommo dation of visiting teams; to provide for the clothing of his team; and to hold in trust all moneys which may come into his hands; and he shall have authority to expend such sums as may be necessary to meet the ob ligations incurred by his team. (c) At the end of the season each Manager shall turn over all money in his hands to the Treasurer of the Association, and shall make an itemized statement of all his trans actions to the Finance Committee. (d) At least two Sub-Managers, and if necessary more, shall be elected hby the Association to assist the Managers of the Football and Base- ball Teams, (e) The Sub-Managers shall be chosen from the Junior and Sophomore classes. Sec. 6. Finance Committee. (a) This Committee shall be com posed of five members, two, and on- y two, of which shall be members of the Faculty. The members of this Committee shall be appointed by the President of the Association acting by and with the advice of the Vice-President and Secretary of the Association. It shall ; be the duty of this Committee to hear all claims against the Associaton; and to make all orders on the Treasurer for the payment ol moneys, (c) It shall be the duty of the Finance Committee o employ coaches for the various teams, (a) I his Committee sha 1 nspect the books of the Treasurer and the various Managers at the end of each season, and shall make a report to the Association at the ast meeting of each term. It shall have authority also . to inspect the ooks of any officer of the Associ ation at any time. Sec. 7. Committee on Rules and Relations, (a) . This Committee shall be composed of five members, three of whom shall be members of the Faculty, appointed by the President of the University; and wo of whom shall be student mem bers of the Association elected by the Association, (b) It shall be the duty of thisCommittee to make rules to govern athletics, to determine the eligibility of men desiring to play on the teams, and to represent the Association in disputes with other colleges as to rules and eligibility of players. , ,' . Sec. 8.
