SMART SUITS down to one run. rather freely, he held the visitors CAROLINA DEFEATS GEORGIA. (Continued from page 1.) the ' keenest rivalry and at the same time the best of feeling- and spirit. The cordial relations which always have existed between Caro lina and Georgia were clearly ex emplified in the debate. The defeated Georgians took their de feat like true Southerners. Carolina faced the strong1 Dart mouth aggregation of baseball play ers twice, Friday and Saturday, capturing the first game by the score of 6 to 0 and losing the second by the score of 9 to 2. FIRST GAME. When the game began Friday, there was much doubt in the minds of many students as to Whom the victory would come. But after a few moments of play it was seen that Fullen wider had the visitors completely at his mercy and that the boys were giving him almost perfect support, Not only was their fielding good, but soon they got wise to the curves of Mitchell, the Dartmouth t wirier, to such an extent that before the day was done they had piled up ten hits. Carolina started the scoring in the second by sending two men across the rubber and again in the third, with Dartmouth way up in the air, three more made the cir cuit. The additional run was made in the eight. The features of the game were Fullenwider's pitching, Cole's work in center field, Reddy 's thousand per cent at the stick, and Hackney's three bagger, Dartmouth AB E II PO A E Leonardo. 4 0 1 6 2 0 Conroy s. s. 4 0 0 0 4 0 Langdellc. f. 4 0 0 0 1 0 Hobart r. f. 3 0 Brady lb. .
