WAKE FOREST TAKES SECOND After winning a no hit game on Friday, Carolina went down in defeat before Wake Forest Saturday in Ral eigh by the score of 2 to 1 in a thir teen inning game. The game was a pitcher's battle in which Utley had the better. Only one hit in thirteen innings could Carolina secure. Stewart was invincible till the 8th. when two hits got Wake Forest a run. Ouerrors Carolina tied the score, in her half. Wake Forest won in the thirteenth by a hit and good base run ning. ; The pitching., of Utley, Faucette's catch in left, the battiug of White and Beam, and the work of Williams at short and Buie behind the bat were features.
