Professor P. H. Daggett, who has
been . confined in the infirmary for a
few days with an attack of grippe, is
now able to be out again.
On the excursion train which left
here for Richmond on Wednesday
night, there was one coach crowded
beyond seating capacity with negroes.

Misses A. L. and Eva Kelly, of

that the whole college had betaken

Walter Stokes, '13, has returned
from a ten days' trip to Detroit, Mich.,
where he and Mr. Bennett H. Perry,
of Henderson, went as delegates from
the University of North Carolina Chap
ter, to the national convention of the
D. K. E. Fraternity. Mr. Stokes says
that there were about 200 delegates at
the convention, representing all the
colleges in the United States and two
in Canada.
