THE TAR HEEL Sportograms Well, brethern, we got ours. There's no doubt about that. The Water Babies were in tip top form and spired by bonfires and speeches they fell on us like a ton or so of brick The Columbus Y. M. C. A. would have had their hands full with them. However we are due a slump. We hope profoundly the boys will be out of it by Friday night. We must give the Virginia gentleman a game that'll make them forget they've ever played basketball before. The boys can do it even if Cecil, Driver and Jones are on the Charlottesville quint. This game is the big noise of the schedule as far as the Hill is concern ed. As usual we are ready to do any thing that's fair and square to beat the Old Dominion representatives. It will ' be a mix up of the hat raising kind. Everybody should be cn hand. The admission will be four bits, but what of that? You'll receive five dol lars of good healthy thrills. Baseball hasn't been thriving to any great extent in the last few days. The temperature has been too near the freezing point. , The boys are getting slightly res tive. They are longing for a chance to show. their prowess in the various lines of baseball. Coach will give them the chance all right and will distribute a number of pink slips shortly afterwards. The canning pro cess is due after the first week of good weather. Then it'll be back to the bushes for a bunch of young hopefuls. However, they shouldn't become dis couraged. Coach will keep his eyes peeled on the class teams and those who, show signs of talent will ; be drafted to the Big Show. 1 ne first melle will be t:j-- mi ... xvmge. 1 ms wm prove an with Oak excellent CALL AT H.H.
