Rodman and MisslCam mie Rodman of i Charlotte spent the' night of the 1st, in Chapel hill. They were making an automobile trip, to Norfolk. Dean Edward K. Graham has been invited to become a member of the faculty of the University of Iowa for the summer session. This is one of the large , sunmer schools of the West. Dr. A. S. Wheeler has been ap pointed a member of the Commit tee on Starch, Cellulose and Paper for the Eighth Interna tional Congress of Applied Chem istry to beheld in Washington in September of next year. Extended improvements have recently been m.ide in the Y. M. C. A. house. The efforts of the authorities have been concen trated on the game room. Asa result of the wise and economical disbursement of the money col lected by one of the usual strener ous campaigns for subscriptions, two new cues for the croquet tables have been bought. No new balls have as yet been bought, but it is confidently hoped .that these will be secured in a short time.
