. A RIVAL OF KLUTTZ'S BOOK STORE.
George Eutsler's Y. M. C. A.
book exchange has been running
day and night with a boom. He
together with Mr. Kerr, has
handled 850 cooks from as many
as 200 men. Out of these 400
books have been sold amounting
to $225. There is a continual
demand for first and second year
books, and they just won't stay
on the shelf. This exchange
will be run the whole year
through from 9 a. m. to 8 p. m.
daily. Here's your chance to
make off old books and save off
of new ones. The Y. M. C. A.
gets 5 per cent for its trouble.
Eulsler gets nothing.
THE BAND: IT SHOULD ORGANIZE.
Candidates for the University
Band were called out last week
for the first time. 35 men, some
with instruments, more without,
reported. The Band has been
put upon no satisfactory basis up
to this year and unless a com
plete organization is formed
now, our Band will be in a bad
way. It stands this way. The
men that go out for the band-
have nothing to work for, and,
in manp cases, no instruments;
there are no trips and no contests
ahead of them. Our teams have
trips to work for, other' teams to
beat, and free outfits to play in;
more than this they .ire backed
by the Athletic Association.
Our Band never has had any of
these stimuli to give it encour
airetncnt. Jbvervtlunir. it has
done has been done in pure loyal
tv. It the -.liana ' can give us
such stuff as it did at the A. &
M. game, last year under these
conditions, then, witti some
money behind it, some trips in
front of it, and the same instruc
tor ihat kept going all last year,
we ought 10 beat ''Alexander's
Rag Time Band.
