WEEKLY CALENDAR REGULAR
Tar Heel To Print One Every Week;
Cooperation Necessary
More than a year ago the Tar
Heel printed every week a calen
dar of things to happen during
the next week. This week the
Tar Heel has attempted to re
vive a good old custom, by print
ing such a calendar. "The What's
to Happen and When" calendar
will appear regularly hereafter.
For this calendar to be com
plete the Tar Heel in this depart
ment must have the cooperation
of the students and of the Uni
versity in general. A good way
to make public your county club
meeting, High School club meet
ing, class basketball or baseball
game, and enterainments or lec.
tures on or off the campus, is to
have a notice of it put in the

Professor Corwin spoke to the
point upon the subject of profes

In the first place it encourages
the development of a' few for the
entertainment of many, which is
undemocratic and illogical. It
kills the spirit and goes back to
the gladiatorial idea, eliminating
from athletics all notion of recre
ation and physical development.
The incentive to victory is per
