defense tightened and Lowe's- attempt
at a field goal failed.
Davidson employed an offensive
game from the start, gaining much
ground by her sweeping end runs-The
lines from tackle to tackle on both
sides were impregnable and there was
little to be gained by either team
through line bucks. Davidson was un
successful in iier attempted passes
while Carolina's most sustained at
tack was in the aerial passes perpe
trated by Lowe, McDonald and Hutch
ins.
The work of Captain Harrell was,
as usual, above reproach, and Lowe's
punting was the feature of the game.
For Davidson the work of Hammel
and the Shepherds featured.
The weather was ideal for foot
ball. The play was stopped several
times in order to chase the specta
tors off the field. Once the game was
called by referee Rip Major to allow
a bevy of flappers who took up a po
sition in the center of the field to
complete their kissing bee.
