GRADUATE STUDENTS
MAKE SCHOOL SURVEY
Mr. H. F. Latshaw and Mr. E. W.
Atkins, graduate students in educa
tion, were in Roanbke Rapids last
week assisting in the survey of the
public schools which is being made
there by the School of Education di
rected by Dr. L. A. Williams. A
part of this survey consists of testing
the pupils in subject-matter and hi in
telligence using standard tests and
scales for the purpose. Mr. Latshaw
is engaged in perfecting a Latin Form
Test originated by Mr. L. L. Lohr, a
former student in the Graduate
School, and used the opportunity to
try out the preliminary arrangement
of that test with the three upper
classes in Latin in the high school.
The results of this survey will be
made public during this school year
and it is the purpose of the School of
Education to publish the results as a
bulletin of the University sometime
