We have never appreciated our own Piedmont section more than now, after visiting a one crop sec tion. Cotton is the chief product raised in the section we visited and cotton farmers are in a very serious condition. The price has fallen so law that it does not pay to raise it, and yet many farmers feel that they cannot raise anything else. It may be a blessing in disguise if the low prices will force the farmers to raise more grain and meat and cut out cotton for a while.
