THE ROBERTSON HOI TO BE GIRLS' DORMITORY Will Start Chapel Hill On New Road to Properity anil Fame. At last we have it. The greatest improvement that has come to Chapel Hill in the centuries of its existence. World metropolises even, lack this twenty-ninth century innovation. The news will spread far and wide con cerning this great happening, and an influx of visitors may be expected. Situated just to the rear of Ber- man's ash Store (that emporium where we like to visit, but hate to be seen in), in an aboretum of its own stands the chateau wherein lies the plot. For alack and alas, Mayor Robertson's home is to be turned into a co-ed dormitory next fall. For some months dame rumor has spread the alarm that such a dormi tory would be built on the campus. Many bets have been made as to how long it would be occupied. , About thirty of the fair young damsels will occupy this residence, and the greens ward surrounding it will most likely be the scene of profuse billing and cooing parties, ere many moons. POWELL TALKS AT "Y" ON "DAMN THE CAMPUS" C. Percival Powell talked in the "Y" Tuesday night to some half score men, selecting as his subject, "Damn the Campus." Powell in his very inspiring talk caught , the ear of his small attentive group and held their attention with his "well framed discurse. "A man is always less alone than when alone, he should know the cam pus, the vanity but should always get alone and reflect seriously upon himself, the past and the future," said Powell. Then in most forceful illustrations he pointed out this as food for one's mental development and growth here on the campus. , In conclusion Powell said, "A man- is a fool who doesn't have a good opin ion of himself." President H. W. Chase made the annual address at the commencement exercises of St. Mary's School in Raleigh Tuesday, May 24th. ill FINCHLEY ANNOUNCES AN EXHIBITION OF CLOTHING AND HABERDASHERY FOR COLLEGE MEN GOODIE SHOP WEb.i THURS., FRI., JUNE 1,2,3 Jack Wilkinson, Representative surs OVER-GARMENTS GOLF SUITS TUXEDO AND FULL DRESS SUITS WHITE OXFORD AND MADRAS SHIRTS, COLLAR ATTACHED NECKWEAR .
