Frosh Track Team
. , . Meets Charlotte
This afternoon at 2:30, the Caro
lina cinder path will receive its bap
tism by fire for this year when Coach
Ranson's frosh track and field men
will engage the Charlotte High squad.
The high school outfit will probably
be as strong as usual. They, have
won the state high school , track
championship for the last four years,
and have a good proportion of vet
eran men on the team. -: '
However, the frosh team should win
the meet with ease' Last year the
Charlotte High outfit was snowed un
der in an early season meet by a
mediocre freshman outfit Although
this will be the first meet for tk
freshman, there are a number of tried
brilliant stars on the squad. Amor
these are, Fort, Devine, Horney, Bar
clay, Fisher, Nims, and GallegbV
With these men, most of whom com
peted last fall on .the. championship
freshman cross-country team, and
other experienced men as a nucleus
the freshman are expected to have
a strong outfit.
