Carolina-Virginia Teams Are Ready for Clash Continued from page one) field into a quagmire out of which neither team could rise to scoring heights. The score was 0 to 0. Two years ago it was the same story, with two field goals tieing the, count at 3 to 3. f May Need Bleachers Graduate Manager Charles T. Wool len announced, tonight that seats al ready sold surpassed the greatest previous attendance, and that appli cations were still pouring in by the hundreds. Even with the new sta dium designed to care for all comers it may be necessary to use both tem porary wooden bleachers and stand ing room. . There are virtually no odds given in pre-game dope on the game. Both Virginia and Carolina have been rank in-and-out . aggregations all this sea son. One Saturday they rise to heights of greatness, and on the next day they succumb to an inferior squad by a goodly, score. The Tar Heel backfield will probably include Whisnant at" quarter, Gresham at l?ft half , Young at right half, and either Foard or Ferrellat fullback. Of this quartet Albert Whisnant at quar terback is Starting his first big Turkey Day classic, while Tom Young and Billy Ferrell will participate in their final game for. Carolina. Virginia will match Johnny Hushion, a third year field general, against Whisnant; with less experienced backs in the other three attacking posts. Sloan, Kaminer and Falconer are very likely to be Hushhan's running mates behind the line. All are youngsters in the first regular year of football. A T We join with the many others in congra tulating the student body of Caro lina on their wonderful new stadium. It is an edifice of which we are all ju stly proud.
