Gentlemen: Most all well-known tobaceos smoke well in a cold or temperate climate, but very few in a. tropical climate. They are mostly too heavy, don't seem to be blended right at least that is my opinion gained from practical ex perience. - However, Edgeworth is the same in any climate. Again that is my opinion gamed by practical experience. I cannot get the same pleasure out of any brand of tobacco that I can out of Edgeworth, and I have tried many and paid fancy prices, too. It costs real money to smoke imported tobaecos here ; the import duty is very high. Anyway, we cannot have everything we would like in these countries, so we hold on to all the little pleasures possi ble. Now you know why I smoke Edgeworth. Each team boasts its own stars .and both have good aggregations. Sev eral, weeks ago the "Virginians' gave the "Gamecocks" a real scare -when they were leading 21 to 20 with about three minutes to play. Then the South Carolinians" started down the field and scored two touchdowns in rapid order. The game tomorrow should find a repetition of those thrills that the crowd witnessed in the first meeting of these two teams. The "Gamecocks" will rely on their great backfield composed of Furches, Spaulding, Jackson, and House, and a stalwart line with Dortch, Hudson, Howard, and Patterson outstanding. The "Virginians" have Whisnant and Erickson as two real threats in the backfield and one of the strongest lines of the intersquad teams. Send the TAR HEEL home TODAY Wfm "THE iVO U love V SL-; ? The boxing championship was set tled last night when the New Dorms ! and Old East leatherpushers scram bled ears in a lively scrap in the Tin Can. The basketball titles will be fully settled before this week is gone, and only the wrestling and win ter track titles remain to be fought over. Present plans call for the wrestling finals to be held next Mon day .or Tuesday night, and the an nual winter track meet will be held early in. the same week. There were several forfeits in the first round of the dormitory boxing race, but it is hoped that all the dor mitories will be represented in the mat tourney. Of the twelve teams to be in the Wrestling Tournament, four draw byes in the first round. Those four drawing byes in that round are Manguzn, Carr, Old East and Old West. The remaining eight meets in four meets on Wednesday night, and on Thursday the eight teams still in for the second round of the elimina tion will fight it out. The semi-finals will be held on Friday night. That calls for teams that stick in the race to wrestle on three succes sive nights, but it will not be overly hard on the contestants. Because of the probable lack of training on the part of many entrants, the time for the individual bouts has been short ened from the regular intercollegiate time. The regular match will be six minutes instead of ten in varsity meets, and the extra period if such be necessary will be only four min utes instead of six. The other regulations will be the same as govern intercollegiate meets, and refereeing will be done by a capa ble man from the varsity squad. On ly men rooming in a dormitory may wrestle for that dormitory. Men rooming in other buildings even if their dormitory does not have a team may not wrestle for buildings other than their own. Men rooming in town, in fraternity houses, or in the graduate building may sign and wres tle for any of the twelve dormitories Weights and Protests . The weights will be the same as govern varsity competition. They run as follows: 119 pounds, 129 pounds, 139 pounds, 149 pounds, 162 pounds, 175 pounds, and unlimited class. Managers of the various teams are held responsible for their teams being within weight in all preliminary rounds, but the final teams will be weighed in before their meet. No team may protest a match on the grounds of weight unless such protest is made immediately after the meet is over. j The schedule for the wrestling eliminations follow: Wednesday, February 29 7:00 P. Its loss to Ellerbe was not anticipated, judging the teams from the results of the season so far. Ellerbe, whence comes one of the Tar Heels' court performers, Red Price by name, upset Sanford High in a game earlier in the week in the Tin Can. The Ellerbeans, with such "progress as they have made, now stand a good chance at copping the much desired state cup.
