University of Virginia quickly jumped into a commanding lead here this afternoon and tonight in defending its Southern Con ference boxing team title by sending six men into the semi finals of their classes and one man to the finals of his class. Duke followed close on the Cavaliers' heels by advancing four men into semi-final match es and one into the finals.
