C A HEALTH DIVISION HAS NEWCOURSE Special Dentistry Work Is Being Offered May 25-July 3; Sixteen Enrolled A special new course for dent ists was opened Monday in the division of public health with an enrollment of 16 men. The course is to run from May 25 to July 3. The faculty are f n, i State College in Raleigh and are Pro fessors Lindsey Otis Armstrong; who will give a course in visua education; Edward William Bos hart, who will conduct the course in pedagogy ; Karl Claud ius Garrison, who will give s course in child psychology; and Robert Baker Wynne, who wil give a course in public speaking, Special Lectures These men will also sit in on some of the regular lectures of fered in the division of public health. Special lectures offered this week to those registered in public health are being given by Dr. H. W. Crane and Professor W. A. Olsen. Business of the meeting in cluded approval of a handbook for the Daily Tar Heel which will be used in future years to acquaint newsmen with the newspaper's style. The board also approved a Daily Tar Heel request for the printing of 3200 student-history index cards, one of which will be filled in by each University stu dent next fall, and filed in the newspaper office for reference as to the student's extracurricu lar activities, his home, and cam pus affiliations. Playmakers to Give Roland Holt Award Annual "Capers" to Take Place Tomorrow Night at 8 O'clock The first award of the Roland Holt silver cup for the most dis tinguished work in play writing during the year will be made to morrow night at 8 o'clock in the Playmakers theater. The award is to be made dur ing tne annual Playmakers Capers" program which will close this season's activities. Skits from foreign countries, songs, and other phases of an in formal review will make up the program. Thomas Loeb will be master of ceremonies, and Pro fessor Koch will announce mask awards . in play writing, acting, directing, scene designing, and lighting. . THEATER TO HAVE COOLING SYSTEM Cool Air Apparatus to Be In stalled in Carolina Theater Machinery for the new cool ing system to be installed short ly in' the Carolina theater arriv ed in Chapel Hill a few days ago This new cooling apparatus will be used in place of the fans now in use, which are to be tak en out immediately. The new machinery will be ready for use in about a week and a half. . In order to make room for new apparatus, which will spray water over the hot air before it is drawn into the theater by fans, the pipe organ which has long been an ornament in the theater will be taken out. By this new method of forcing cool ed air into the theater the tem perature in the building can be regulated.
