Arthur Gene Aenchbacher of Hamlet and Robert Arnel of Lawrence, N. Y., were elected to membership after the Union had interviewed four applicants. Ben Perlmutter, Union mem bership Chairman, further an nounced that there are still a very few vacancies in the CPU, and urged all interested students to pick up an application blank at the YMCA information office. f For its discussion this coming Sunday evening the CPU will discuss the Case Anti-Strike Bill now pending before the U. S. Congress. Dewey Dorsett will give the factual report. , A "CPU Roundtable" will appear in the DTH on Sunday morning out lining the essential points of the bill and its controversial factors. Lt Woodson, UNC '39 Released! From Navy Lt. James Leake Woodson, former co-captain of the Caro lina football team has been re leased to inactive duty in the Naval Reserve, according to a press release from the Naval Air Station in Charleston. Negotiations, however, have already been initiated through government as well as private channels, and the trustees of the foundation are making every ef fort to secure the instrument and open the planetarium to the pub lic at the earliest possible time. Mr. Morehead, who served on the board of trustees of the Hay den Planetarium in New York at the time of its erection, said he was particularly anxious to provide one for his alma mater because he feels it will be of last ing interest and will add to the public service of the University, Subscribe to the Daily Tar Heel since no other college in the United States has a planetarium at the present time. Mr. Morehead himself will serve as chairman of the foun dation, and the other trustees will be Norman A. Cocke, attor ney, and John L. Morehead, manufacturer and cousin of Mr. Morehead, both of Charlotte. The Morehead Planetarium and Memorial Gallery will be en tirely separate and apart from the University's present art de partment and gallery, Gov. R. Gregg Cherry said in accept ing the gift. "The main gallery will not be used for any other ex hibits whatsoever. Mr. More- head conceived this as a lasting monument to his beloved wife, and it will be limited to her per sonal and private collections, with no additions ever." David Clark, one of the nearly 100 trustees present in Raleigh, called the board's attention to a resolution passed previously that a department of tutoring be set up at State College, with a full-time professor be hired to head it. Three new members were nominated to the Board of Trus tees to fill unexpired terms as the session neared its end. Vic tor Bryant, Durham, was elected for the longest term. Second was Edward Pate, of Laurinburg, and third was John W. Umstead, Jr., Chapel Hill. Also nominated were Kemp D. Battle, Rocky Mount, and Mrs. Gertrude Mc Kie, Sylva.
