On Fetzer Field Ring By Jim Pharr Future Carolina athletes will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skill tomorrow night in a boxing pro gram on Fetzer field followed by a swimming carnival to be held in the outdoor pool. The boxing card will begin at 6:30 with local boys from eight to 14 years of age mixing up in the ring. The eight junior matches to be presented will include the outstanding boxers from among 30 boys who have been in train ing for the past three weeks for the event. The boxing show will be followed by the swimming carnival in the out door pool, with the junior boys swim ming races scheduled to begin at 8 p. m. to open the program. The junior races will include boys and girls in the 8-9, 9-10, 10-11, and 11-12 age groups. From 8:30 to 9 o'clock the junior varsity and varsity swimmers will hold demonstration swim races, to be followed by demonstrations in diving by the varsity divers. In case of rain the entire sports event will be held inside, officials have announced. Ralph Casey, swimming coach, is in charge of the swimming carnival and Mike Ronman, boxing coach, is in charge of the boxing show. Bobby Feller, Cleveland's fireball ace, hurled the first three innings for the winners to become the winning hurler. Claude Passeau, Chicago Cub righthander, started for the older circuit's representatives and was tag ged with the defeat.
