Official announcement of the committees was made by Godwin during Thursday night's assembly of the legislature in Di hall. Appointments were made after party heads submitted names of legislators, indicating the com mittee on which they wished to serve. The epidemic reached its worst stages in July when the 864 cases were reported. With only 54 cases reported from January through April the epidemic seem ed to gather momentum as it raced through the hot summer months, and decline as fall ran into winter. In May 75 cases were reported, 294 in June, 697 in August, 341 in September, 137 in October, 31 in November and 13 in December.
