Scheer, sales and ad vertising director of the Univer sity of .North Carolina Press, is a contributor in a new book of stories for children which xwiil appear next month, In "Coonskin For A General," a volume of stories about great American cities, Scheer wrote a chapter on Richmond, Va. The author is formerly from that city. The work marks Scheer's first juvenile work, although he is a well known book reviewer and is a former newspaperman. A similar book is projected for next season by Aladdin Books, New York publishers, containing a North . Carolina story with Scheer as author. Meanwhile, he is working on a fuM length western for boys for the same publisher. jScheer has been with the Uni versity Press for six years.
