Duke Blocks Punt Tar Heels Drop Finale To Blue Devils, 35-20 By John Hussey Carolina, feared as the top punt ing team in the ACC and one of the foremost in the country, drop ped its final game to Duke as both teams put forth one of their best scoring efforts of the year. Ironi cally, the 35-20 loss was due main ly to the inability of the Tar Heels to get off any of the kicks which have heretofore been more of a habit than a task to them.- Only one of the Tar Heel boots ever passed the line of scrimmage as two were blocked and on three occasions the punter had to run as his interference failed. This was the story of a ball game which marked by frequent penalities, se veral fumbles and a variety of all the mistakes and unusual happen ings which ordinarily don't occur in a whole season of play. Duke showed unusual power in their ability to move the ball as they marched to a touchdown the "A WILD RIDE Is INTO A WORLD & OF UPROARIOUS FANTASY!" f -Sit Review of Lit ALEC Guinness I with STANLEY HOLLOWAY A J. A safety gave them a 9-0 nauumeiead and the Tar Heels were never able to get back in the ball game. The closest they ever came to the Blue Devils was when Ken Keller snatched a fumble in the air and advanced unmolested to a touchdown to bring the score to 28-20. But another Duke score put the game on ice for the home team. It was the most points that a Blue Devil team has ever pro duced against the Tar Heels and it was also the most points scored on Duke all year.
