In the South Carolina game Sat- urday night, Vayda led a scoring spurt in the fourth quarter which saw the (Tar Heels score 20 points five minutes. Once during this particular display, of offensive power, Vayda scored seven straight points on three baskets and a free throw. Vayda plays well all over the court and can hit from the outside when called upon to do so. How ever his most efefective shot is a two-handerj jump shot from about ten or fifteen feet out. It was this type of shot which he . made in scoring the basket which beat State.
