;. Mrs. Jordan was the - person
who got George a reprieve until
.Monday. She talked Claytor into
giving him some extra time.
"I told him if he took George,
the entire student body would
be on his neck," she said yes
terday. The problem, according to
Mrs. Jordan, is the way people
fasten their-rabies and city li
cense tags to the dogs' collars.
".'People just don't know how
to put a tag on a collar. You
shouldn't use the little hooks
that come with the tags. Get
some picture wire and twist it
on the tag and on the collar."
Rebel, her dog, illustrated the
method 'with-his collar, "fte pic
ture wire was neatly twisted,
and then covered with adhesive
tape so no wire ends could
scratch the wearer.
Mrs. Jordan wished to make
it clear that she had no com
plaint against Dog Warden Clay
tor. "He's just doing his duty."
