UNIVERSITY PARTY LEGISLATORS The first University Party Legisla tive Caucus for the 24th Legislative Assembly will be held tonight at 6:30 in Roland Parker Lounge 2 of Graham Memorial. All newly elected UP legislators and incumbents have been urged to attend this meeting. STUDENT - FACULTY DIRECTORIES Student-Faculty Directories are available for student distribution, it was announced today by Martha Fortune and Donald Herring. Co charimen of the YM-YWCA publica tions Board. The directory will be sold in the lobby of the YMCA building from 9-4 during the week. The price of the publication is 33c per copy. PHILOSOPHY DEPARTMENT Two lectures sponsored by the Philosophy Departments of UNC and Duke will be given today and tomor- Today's lecture will be given at 8 p. m. in the Philosophy Seminar Room of the West Duke Building on the East Duke campus. Art League Picks Officers The new University Art League held its first regularly scheduled meeting Monday night. At the meet ing, the League formed a consti tution, elected officers and made plans for the balance of the year. The newly elected officers are as follows: Duane Lowder. President; Marguerite Kirschner, vice-president; Mary Louise Davis, secretary; and William Cummingham, trea surer. I'rotessor Kenneth Ness, act ing chairman of the Art Dept.. is faculty adviser for the group. The League made plans for the coming year which include one monthly lecture on art of related DUkathon Race Set Saturday The Fourth Annual DUkathon, a foot race sponsored by Delta Upsilon Fraternity, will be held Saturday at 1: 30 p.m. The crowning of a DUkathon Queen will take place immediately before the race begins. The DUkathon, which covers 13.6 miles, begins at the Carolina Theater in Chapel Hill and ends at the Durham Post Office. About 75 runners have entered the race so far. Runners will follow Franklin St. and the Durham Highway into the city limits of Durham, and will then follow the main streets to Five Points in the middle of town. The post office is three blocks from Five Points. Delta Upsilon will award speci al trophies to first, second and third place winners.
