world peace plan recently drawn
up by Chapel Hill citizens.
At the request of the local group
Merrill C. Gay, economic adviser
of the State Department, will be
the guest speaker at the meeting in
Carroll Hall. 3:15 p.m.
His talk on world development as
a means toward peace will be fol
lowed by a question and answer pe
riod. Gay, a graduate of Oberlin Col
lege, has been with the State De
partment since 1943 and was named
an economic adviser in 1949.
Orders for class rings may. be
placed in Y Court, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.,
today and Thursday, according to
Jim Scott, Order of the Grail ring
chairman.
Lee II. Blackwell, Balfour rep
resentative, will be on hand to as
sist the Grail in taking orders. Scott '
announced. The Clas of G1 or any j
previous class is eligible to order
now. Delivery takes about eight
weeks.
