An application is now being formulated for the Uni versity. Now in its 15th year, the pro gram has progressed rapidly in the last few years in terms of raised credit status of the Russian language, faculty additions, new courses and expanded library holdings, especially in Russian history, political science, econom ics and geography. Recent termination of the Air Force-sponsored Russian indus trial research project on campus has placed at the disposal of the program a unique collection of physical research aids and Soviet materials in the fields of econom ics, statistics and technology. Lehman Teaching In Bermuda Is. Station Professor H. E. Lehman of the University Zoology Depatrment will be teaching a graduate course at the Bermuda Biological Station on Saint George's Island. The course on experimental in vertebrate embryology is sponsor ed by the Bellview Medical School of New York University. Professor Lehman will be teaching from July 5 through August 15. He will also be doing research on the problems of nucleus and cytoplasm in the development of invertebrate embryos. A member of the University fa culty since 1948, Dr. Lehman holds degrees from Maryville College in Tennessee, the University in Cha pel Hill and Stanford University in California. The collection is now fully catalogued and efficiently organized and housed. 'Fall semester "will usher in the third year of Russian language and possibly accelerated Russian language courses for graduate students. Courses are taught in elementary, intermediate and ad vanced Russian and in Russian prose literature of the 19th Cen tury. In the historical field, courses are taught in the history of the Middle East and Russia and in Russian foreign relations in the 20th century. Soviet economic planning and Soviet economic growth will be offered for study in 19131-62. Problems of the contemporary scene are dealt with by the Po litical Science Department. Courses offered include Govern ment of the Soviet Union, Com munism in Asia, Soviet Russian in the Modern World, and The Com munist World. The program is rapidly out growing its present limited facili ties in staff and space. A regular yearly growth in enrollment of 20 to 30 per cent has already neces sitated sectioning on the first year level, and sectioning on the sec ond year level is a not-too-distant possibility. Estimates of next year's en rollment indicate 50 first-year students, 25 second-year; and 10 third-year. An exhibit in the main lobby of the Louis R.
