ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DEAN Dr. Alan K. Manchester, a prominent Duke University of ficial will retire from two ad ministrative posts on Aug. 31, 1964, to devote full time to teaching and research. Dr. Manchester, will relin quish the posts of Dean of Trini ty College and Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences, according to Dr. Douglas M. Knight, presi dent of the University. In announcing the retirement, Dr. Knight said a special fac ulty committee has been named to recommend a successor, and that the appointment of a new dean is expected by the end of the current academic year.
