Wales Wins Award
Heathcote W. Wales, UNC
senior from Loudonville, N.Y.,
has been named one of eight
national winners of a $1,500
Chi Psl Educational Trust
graduate fellowship for the
coming year.
The Morehead scholar, who
plans to study law at either
Harvard or Chicago in prep-,
aration for a career in poli
tics, has been chairman of
the Men's Honor Council,
chairman of the Constitutional
Council, associate editor of
the DTH and has been ac
tive in NSA and State Student
Legislature.
Last yeju Wales, who has
recently been tapped into Phi
Beta Kappa, was awarded a,
$500 undergraduate scholar
ship by the Chi Psi Educa
tional Trust.
Wales is the third North
Carolina Chi Psi to win a
graduate fellowship from the
national educational trust in
the ten years of the, fellow
ship program.
This is the .oldest and larg
est educational foundation in
the national fraternity world,
having made more than bO
fellowship grants totaling
more than $100,000 in the past
decade.
