Carolina scored the first goal of the game, Brain Duf fey rifled one in from the out side. But, a determined ECC team came back with three quick goals, this was the first time the freshman has been behind all season. The Lacrossers kept up their momentum, and in the second quarter took the lead back from ECC. Jake Russel tied it up, and he was fol lowed by Harper Peterson, who is doing a fine job in spite of a separated shoulder. Pete Aitkin, playing crease attack, claimed the next Car olina tally, and he was follow ed by Peterson again, to end the half with a score of 6-2, UNC. The rain continued in the second half, making a virtual swamp out of the field. Pete Aitkin, high scorer of the after noon, started off the second half in' good form as he and Ken Walden took turns pump ing shots into the cage. ECC got their fourth goal in the third quarter, as the UNC goalies, Pete Kramer and Fer-, die Wandelt, were having a rough time in the mud. Har per Peterson then gave Rus sel a feed, and Jake fired ended with the score 10 - 4, UNC. The fourth quarter saw ECC score their last goal of the afternoon, and in retaliation, Aitkin, Duffey, and Heard pen etrated the ECC defense to make -the final score 13-5, UNC.
