The Tar Heels whitewashed the Demon Deacons here for their 16th victory this season ind their ninth shutout. As has been the case so many times this spring, the netters received outstanding performances from everyone who played. Gene Hamilton played very consistently in whipping the Deacons' fine Mike Rubinstein, 6-3,6-4. Bob Davis played nearly as well throughout to defeat Wake's Ed Parker. 6-2, 6-2. A devastating serve was the highlight cf Davis' game in both singles and doubles. Lee Langstroth answered the call to the 70-degree heat and played some of his finest ten nis of the year in beating Dave Ashcraft, t-lf 6-3. UNC Challenges Duke Today By BOB MANEKN of The Daily Tar Heel Staff Carolina's lacrosse team will be out to avenge last year's humiliating loss to Duke when Tom Buskey, while the Blue Devils have nominated sophomore Steve Denison. Buskey has a 2-2 won-loss record and 1.66 earned run average. . He has struck out 33 in 32 3-2 in the ACC. Duke is 9-11, Defensive support has been lacking when Buskey is on the mound, for teammates have let to 10 unearned runs. Righthanders John Yancey and George McRae will handle bullpen duty. Denison brings a 3-2 record and 3.76 ERA into today's Atlantic Coast Conference game. Southpaw Carle Felton and righty Jeff Mitchell will be ready in relief.
