u October 20, 1970 THE DAILY TARHEEL Pag 9 Fe YM GA To Look Tills d a inniyfltiple clhsclce qunz; At Forei Policy 893 go 1 ; The YMCA will sponsor this week its second task force on U.S. foreign policy. To deal with U.S. relations with South Africa and Portugal in relation to reo-coIonial activities in Africa, the task force will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. upstairs in the Y-building. The task forces sponsored by the Y this year are open for student and public membership. The research group on Mid-East policy, formed two weeks ago, is going weil, according to YMCA Vice President Bill Brieger. Peace Corps Representatives from the Peace Corps uiji be at the University through Friday t0 talk with students interested in working overseas to help solve some of the problems of developing countries. These representatives will be at the Student Union and the 4Y' building during the day. "We've got about a dozen people altogether and they are formulating methods of research and assigning areas of research to each member," he said. The new South Africa study group will investigate alleged Portuguese suppression of African liberation movements and alleged U.S. business interests which support governments that continue separatism and racism, Brieger explained. "The group will attempt to discover what U.S. policy is in these areas and what the U.S. could do to alleviate problems," he added. Ann Dunbar of the history department will be working with the group and her primary interest is to research and document business relations in South Africa, Brieger continued. Brieger also said, "Let me stress that we are encouraging citizens-students, faculty, and townspeople-to work on the project. We hope people will work with concern for problems of international relations." NOW! FREE DELIVERY SERVICE FROM THE DAIRY BAR 611 P.M.
