The plot smacks heavily of 101 Dalmations and Lady and the Tramp, but it is the animal characters that matter, and here they are delightful and charming. Go back a few years and enjoy.-D, G 2001: A Space Odyssey This must be the most boring great movie ever made, but a great movie it truly is. Every facet of the production reeks with brilliance, and each new viewing will uncover something else. Kubrick's snail pacing just does not matter. R Tora, Tora, Tora The first hour of this is not a movie, but a dull, confused, and skimpy history lesson, with actors stiffly explaining everything to each other. After that, it picks up, almost in spite of itself.
