The conference was co-sponsored by two UNC student organizations, CGA and the Human. Sexuality Information and Counseling Service. Chauncey said the purpose of the conference was to familiarize people who counsel gays with the resources available to them, discuss the concept of homosexuality and counseling in a positive manner and exchange ideas between gays and straights.
