WHEREAS, the National Federation of Business and Professional
Women's Clubs, Inc., is celebrating National Business Women's
Week the third week of October, and;
WHEREAS, the North Carolina Federation of Business and
Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., composed of four thousand
sixty-one members in ninety-three clubs, is celebrating this
event concurrently with the National Federation, and;
WHEREAS, the objectives oi these business women are to
elevate the standards of women in business and in the professions;
to promote the interests of business and professional imen;
to bring about a spirit of cooperation amonq business and
professional women of the United States; and to extend
opportunities to business and professional women through
education along lines of industrial, scientific, and
vocational activities, md;
WHEREAS, these women hav been pursuing their objectives
since 1919 with dignity and diligence, through their state
federations, the Business and Professional Women's Foundation,
The Talent Bank of the National Federation, the Career
Advancement Scholarship Fund and numerous other activities
well known to our Nation,
