Barbara Mason, a junior business and
recreation administration major from
Chapel Hill, has announced her can
didacy for senior class treasurer.
If elected, Mason said she would work
cooperatively with the president and vice
president and would try to incorporate
"Whoever I work for, I want to do my
job effectively by working in my sphere
as treasurer as well as supporting their
ideas," Mason said. S
But Mason said the other candidates'
ideas should not be forgotten. Although
all the candidates cannot win, they all
have important ideas, she said.
If elected, Mason said she would like to
place the class funds in a private account
that would allow the officers to use the
money as the class twished. Some funds
might be invested in certificate deposits
where they could earn money to be ap
plied to a class gift at the year's end, she
