Likely doubles combinations are Jana sik and Steinour (4-5) at No. 1 , Johnson and Chris Mumford (4-0) at No. 2 and Jones and Joe Frierson (14-3) at No. 3. Jones and Frierson are 23-1 at No. 3 in their careers and are unbeaten at that position this season. ''One of the encouraging things is our doubles is getting better," Morris said. "We almost won the Duke match by winning all three doubles." Solid singles play like the Tar Heels had against Virginia Tech will be nec essary once again if the Tar Heels are to win the ACCs. Said Morris, "I don't think in either the Clemson match (a 5 4 win) or Duke match did we play our best singles." Now You Can Afford It.
