Desegregation Is ‘Roundtable’ Topic “Desegregation in a Small Southern Town” will be discuss al on WUNC, 91.5 FM, tomorrow at 7 p.m. by three authorities on desegregation as part of "Caro lina Roundtable,” which invites listeners to phone in questions while the program is still on the air. Joe Augustine, executive-direc tor of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Merchants Assn.; Hilliard Cald well, chairman of CURED (Citiz ens United for Racial Equality and Dignitv i; and James Shu maker, editor of the Chapel Hill Weekly, will talk about business and desegregation on the first of this t ree - part series. Panel moderator i s Dr. Earle Wallace, associate dean of the Graduate School and associate professor of political science at the Uni versity. Subsequent programs in the series will deal with law and government, and etiiical and mor al considerations in the desegre gation issue. Newcomers Dance Tickets Available Tickets are now available for the annual Christmas Dance spon sored by the Newcomer’s Division of the University Woman’s Club. The dance will be held Satur day, December 7, from 9 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. with music provided by the Music Makers of Durham. A door prize will be given and refreshments will be served. All members of the University Wo man’s Club are invited to attend. First chance to purchase the dance ticket, which are only $2.50 per coupjo-this year, will be at the Faculty Dance this Friday. Tickets will also be available at the Newcomers general meeting on November 12, or at any of the club's activities meetings. If Mrs. Neta Davis Gets SFSA Post Mrs. Neta Davis of the Chapel Hill schools cafeteria staff has been elected Secretary-Treasurer of the East Caitral District division of North Carolina School Food Service Associa tion. Mrs. Davis is the manager of Estes Hills Elementary School cafeteria. She was elect ed to serve the 1964-65 term. Chapel Hill EA To Hold Banquet The Chapel Hill Education As sociation will hold a public re lations banquet Friday, Novem ber 15, in the Guy B.
