Action was taken by the alder
men last night in the matter of
the east wall of the Harris build
ing, adjoining the building de
stroyed more than a year ago,
on the corner of Main and
Fourth streets, which was dis
cussed at length. The discus
sion resulted in the passage of
a resolution condemning the
wall and requiring the owner to
take immediate steps to tear it
away, or to appear before the
board and show cause why it
should not be condemned as un
safe and a menace to public safe
ty. It will be remembered that
the board ordered the wall torn
down immediately following the
Brown-Rogers Company fire.
